Configure DataLogPro

Use the
DataLogPro
 editor to configure tags for logging. You configure logging per tag or per log group.
To configure DataLogPro
  1. In the FactoryTalk View Studio
    Explorer
     window, open the
    Data Log
     folder, and then open the
    DataLogPro
     editor.
  2. Open the Tag Browser on the side bar, and then select tags for logging.
    TIP:
    To select multiple tags, press
    Ctrl
     or
    Shift
    .
    If you try to add tags from the local KEPServer Enterprise OPC server, the Tag Browser cannot browse any tags. In such cases, you should also configure DCOM.

  3. (optional) Select the plus sign in the
    Log groups
     pane or the
    New Group
     icon on the menu bar to create a log group.
    TIP:
    To add tags to the log group, drag them to the group or select the plus sign in front of any tag. You can also drag tags from one group to another. After that, the tags will inherit the trigger properties of that group.
    To remove a tag, select it, and then click on the far right of the table.
  4. Make sure the log group is selected, open
    Group properties
     on the side bar, and then specify how data logging will be triggered.
  5. Select
    Save
     on the menu bar, and then close the editor.
