The Tag Browser

How do I open the Tag Browser?
Use one of the following methods:
  • In the editors that use tag assignments, click the
    Browse
    button in the
    Tags
    column.
  • In the
    Expression
    editor, position the cursor where you want to insert a tag name, and then click
    Tags
    .
  • In the
    Parameters
    editor, double-click where you want to insert a tag name.
In FactoryTalk View, when you need to use a tag, you can type its name and path, or you can browse for it.
Use the
Tag Browser
 to browse the tag database and select a tag or folder from the editor you are working in.
The
Tag Browser
 is divided into two sections. The left side shows the hierarchy of the folders for the HMI tag database. Each device shortcut in FactoryTalk Linx is represented by a folder.
