Select string pop-up

To open the
String Pop-up
dialog box, from the
Tools
menus, select
Options > String Pop-up
.
Choose whether the string input enable object, the
Login
button and the
Password
button will show the string pop-up keyboard or the string pop-up character input at runtime when running applications on
Windows
computers. The default selection when the dialog box first opens is the keyboard. When the dialog box is next opened, whatever choice was last made will persist.
When invoked from the string input enable object, the user can enter an alphanumeric string and write it to the object's Value control.
When invoked from the Login dialog box, the user can enter a user name (up to 275 alphanumeric characters) and a password (up to 127 characters), which will be returned to the
Login
dialog box to allow the user to log in.
When invoked from the Change Password dialog box, it allows the user to enter an old password, new password and confirmation password of up to 16 alphanumeric characters.

  • Use the string pop-up keyboard
    Click this radio button to use the standard pop-up keyboard.
  • Use the string pop-up character input
    Click this radio button to use the string pop-up character input instead of the pop-up keyboard.
