Create a polyline object

Use the polyline tool to draw a series of connected straight lines.
To create a polyline object
  1. In the
    Graphics Display
     editor, select
    Objects > Drawing > Polyline
     or drag Polyline tool from the toolbox.
  2. Press the mouse button and drag the mouse to draw the first line segment.
    TIP:
    Press
    Ctrl
     as you drag or click the mouse to draw a horizontal or vertical line segment.
  3. To create the next line segment, point the mouse where you want the next segment to end, and then click the
    Left mouse
     button.
    Repeat for each line segment.
  4. Double-click the polyline to open its
    Properties
     dialog box.
  5. In the
    Properties
     dialog box, specify how you want the polyline to look.
    TIP:
    • If you use the polyline tool to create an object with two points, it will create a line object.
    • If you edit a polyline object by deleting its points until it has two points, it will convert to a line object.
