Set up numeric options for a Numeric Input Enable button

Use the
Numeric
tab of the
Numeric Input Enable Properties
dialog box to set up numeric options for a
Numeric Input Enable
button.
To set up a numeric pop-up for the button
  1. In the
    Graphics Display
editor, double-click the object to open its
    Properties
    dialog box.
  2. Click the
    Numeric
    tab.
  3. Select a numeric pop-up option:
    • Keypad
    • Scratchpad
    • None
  4. Specify these properties for the pop-up:
    • Maximum and minimum values
    • Ramp values (if any)
    • Decimal point settings
      TIP:
      • If the ramp value is floating point and the Value connection is an integer tag, the application rounds the value before writing it to the connection.
      • If an Optional Expression is assigned, ramping is disabled.
      • If you only want to use the
        Numeric Input Enable
        button to ramp values, select
        None
from the numeric pop-up options below. Once the button has input focus, the value can be ramped using the
        Move Up/Down
key buttons or the cursor control keys.
To give the object input focus, have either of the following turned on on the
        General
        tab:
        • Key Navigation
(navigate to the object and give it input focus using the keyboard)
        • Take focus on press
, with a function key assigned to the object (press the function key to give the object input focus)
