Example: Use a Numeric Input Enable button

In this example, the

Numeric Input Enable

button controls the speed of a conveyor. Pressing this button brings up a keypad or scratchpad (depending on the numeric pop-up setting) that the operator can use to enter the new speed.

Create a

Numeric Input Enable

button. Change the maximum value to 100 and set the caption to "Set value."

Assign a tag to the Value connection. When the operator presses the button a keypad or scratchpad pops up and the operator can enter a value between the minimum and maximum values. The value entered becomes the value of the Value connection. The data source registers the value change and the conveyor speed changes accordingly.
