Set up handshaking for a String Input Enable button
When the operator presses the
Enter
button, the pop-up writes a value to the data source. Use Enter key handshaking to hold the value at the data source for a specific period of time to ensure it is read before the operator sends a new value to the Value connection.
TIP:
For these settings to take effect, you must assign connections to Enter and Enter handshake in the
Connections
tab.To set up handshaking for a button
- In theGraphics Displayeditor, double-click the object to open itsPropertiesdialog box.
- Click theTimingtab.
- Specify the handshaking settings to use with the button.
