Options on the General tab of the Scale Properties dialog box

The following table shows the options on the
General
tab of the
Scale Properties
dialog box.
Options
Descriptions
Appearance
Specify the object's appearance in this area.
Border style
Select a border style for the object.
Border width
Type the number of pixels for the width of the object’s border.
Line style
Select the line style. If you select a style other than
Solid
, the line width must be 1 pixel.
Dash-Dot
and
Dash-Dot-Dot
show as
Dot
on the PanelView Plus family terminals.
Line width
Type the number of pixels for the width of the object's line. Any line style other than solid must have a width of 1 pixel.
Back style
Specifies the object background. Available options are:
  • Solid.
    The object’s background is filled with a solid color specified in the
    Back color
    option.
  • Gradient
    . The object's background is filled with a linear gradient color.
  • Transparent. The bounding box for the scale is not filled in and any objects behind the scale show through.
Border uses back color
Select this check box to use the object’s background color for the border of the object.
Clear this check box to use the selected
Border Color
.
Back color
This box shows the current background color for the object. Click it to select another color.
If the background style is transparent, the application does not use this background color.
If the background style is gradient, click it to bring up the
Gradient Fill
dialog box to configure the gradient fill.
Border color
This box shows the border color for the object. Click it to select another color.
If
Border uses back color
is not selected, this color appears at runtime.
Fore color
This box shows the color for the object’s line. Click it to select another color.
Blink
Select this check box if you want the object’s background to blink at runtime. The blink rate is twice per second.
Scale Setup
Tick direction
Select the tick direction. For example, if you select Up, the ticks appear on the top side of the scale.
Major ticks
Select the number of major ticks on the scale.
You must use at least two major ticks (one for the first tick and one for the last tick).
Minor ticks
Select the number of minor ticks on the scale. This number of ticks appears between each major tick.
