Button settings
Use variable lower/upper limit
Check this box to use tag or expression values for the object's highest (if
Ramp up
is selected) or lowest (if
Ramp down
is selected) value. If this box is checked, the Upper/Lower limit value text box is disabled, and the object's ramp value is controlled by the Limit connection
Use variable ramp value
Check this box to use tag or expression values for the object's ramp value. If this box is checked, the Ramp value text box is disabled, and the object's ramp value is controlled by the Ramp connection
Ramp up
Select this option to create a
Ramp
button that increases the Value connection’s value.
Ramp down
Select this option to create a
Ramp
button that decreases the Value connection’s value.
Upper/Lower limit
For
Ramp up
buttons, type the button’s upper limit, that is, the amount beyond which the button’s value cannot increase. For
Ramp down
buttons, type the button’s lower limit, that is, the amount beyond which the button’s value cannot decrease.
Ramp value
Type the amount to change the value by. Type a positive number. For a
Ramp down
button, the value is decreased by this amount. For a
Ramp up
button, the value is increased by this amount.
If the ramp value is floating point and the Value connection is an integer tag, the application rounds the value before writing it to the connection.
Pressing a
Ramp
button a second time before the previous increment or decrement has finished updating can affect the accuracy of the resulting numeric value. Wait for each increment or decrement to finish updating before pressing the
Ramp
button again.
Touch margins
You can specify a touch-insensitive margin inside the button’s edges. If the operator presses on the touch-insensitive margin, the button press is not registered.
Horizontal margin
Specifies the number of pixels for the distance inside the left and right edges of the button where the button will not be touch sensitive.
Vertical margin
Type the number of pixels for the vertical touch margin. The vertical margin is along the button’s top and bottom edges.
