Create a Maintained push button

Use the Maintained push button object to create a button that toggles between two values. This type of button is useful for changing a setting within a machine or process, but not for starting the machine or process.
A Maintained push button sends one value to the data source the first time it is pressed, and a second value the next time it is pressed and released.
IMPORTANT:
Do not use push buttons for emergency stops. Emergency stop buttons must be hard-wired.
To create a Maintained push button
  1. In the
    Graphics Display
    editor, select
Objects > Push Button > Maintained
or drag Maintained push button from the toolbox.
  2. Drag the mouse to position and draw a rectangle the general size and location you want the button to be.
  3. Double-click the button to open its
    Properties
    dialog box.
