Options on the General tab of the Display Print Button Properties dialog box

The following table shows the options on the
General
tab of the
Display Print
Button Properties
dialog box.

Descriptions
Appearance
Specify the object's appearance in this area.
Border style
Select a border style for the object.
If the object shape is circle or ellipse, the available border styles are
None
and
Line
.
Border width
Type the number of pixels for the width of the object’s border.
Back style
Specifies the object background. Available options are:
  • Solid.
    The object’s background is filled with a solid color specified in the
    Back color
    option.
  • Transparent
    . The object’s background is not filled and any objects behind it show through.
  • Gradient
    . The object's background is filled with a linear gradient color.
Pattern style
Select a pattern for the object. The pattern appears on the face of the object. The pattern does not cover the object’s border, caption, or image (if any are defined for the object). If the object’s back style is transparent or gradient, the pattern is not visible.
Shape
Select the shape of the object. If the object shape is circle or ellipse, the application applies properties such as size and position by measuring in relation to the object’s bounding box.
Border uses back color
Select this check box to use the object’s background color for the border of the object.
Clear this check box to use the selected
Border Color
.
Back color
This box shows the current background color for the object. Click it to select another color.
If the background style is transparent, the application does not use this background color.
If the background style is gradient, click it to bring up the
Gradient Fill
dialog box to configure the gradient fill.
Border color
This box shows the border color for the object. Click it to select another color.
If
Border uses back color
is not selected, this color appears at runtime.
Pattern color
This box shows the current pattern color for the object. Click it to select another color.
Highlight color
This box shows the current highlight color. Click it to select another color.
The object's border, if any, changes to the highlight color when the operator presses the button at runtime.
Blink
Select this check box if you want the object’s background to blink at runtime. The blink rate is twice per second.
For objects without states, if you check this box the object always blinks. If you select a pattern style, the pattern also blinks
Touch margins
You can specify a touch-insensitive margin inside the button’s edges. If the operator presses on the touch-insensitive margin, the button press is not registered.
Horizontal margin
Specifies the number of pixels for the distance inside the left and right edges of the button where the button will not be touch sensitive.
Vertical margin
Type the number of pixels for the vertical touch margin. The vertical margin is along the button’s top and bottom edges.
Other
Audio
Select this check box to sound an internal beeper when the object is pressed.
If the computer running the project does not have an internal beeper, the object press does not trigger a beep.
