Connections for the IPInfo ActiveX control

The following table shows the connections to control the operation of the IPInfo ActiveX control at runtime. There are no additional parameters to configure the operation of the control beyond these connections.

IPAddress
Optional
The control reads the terminal's IP address, and writes the value into the configured tag.
The connection data type is String.
The connection can be a direct tag or a memory tag.
IPOctet1 - IPOctet4
Optional
The control parses the IP address into four parts, and each part is mapped to an integer, then the control writes the integer into the configured tag.
The connection data type is Integer.
The connection can be a direct tag or a memory tag.
Subnet Address
Optional
The control reads the terminal's IP subnet address, and writes the value into the configured tag.
The connection data type is String.
The connection can be a direct tag or a memory tag.
SubNetOctet1 - SubNetOctet4
Optional
The control parses the IP subnet address into four parts, each part is mapped to an integer, and then the control writes the integer into the configured tag.
The connection data type is Integer.
The connection can be a direct tag or a memory tag.
GatewayAddress
Optional
The control reads the terminal's IP gateway address, and writes the value into the configured tag.
The connection data type is String.
The connection can be a direct tag or a memory tag.
GWOctet1 - GWOctet4
Optional
The control parse the IP gateway address into four parts, each part is mapped to an integer, then the control writes the integer into the configured tag.
The connection data type is Integer.
The connection can be a direct tag or a memory tag.
macID
Optional
The control reads the terminal's Mac address and writes the value into the configured tag.
The connection data type is String.
The connection can be a direct tag or a memory tag.
