Options in the Startup editor

The following table shows the options in the
Startup
editor.
Options
Descriptions
Alarms
Select this check box to monitor tag values for alarm conditions and show alarm entries at runtime. When an alarm goes off, the [ALARM] graphic display opens to notify the operator. You can use the predefined [ALARM] graphic display, or create your own graphic display containing an alarm banner or alarm list object.
Use the
Alarm Setup
editor to specify which display to use and the tag to monitor for trigger values.
Audit trail
Select this check box to use audit trail at runtime.
Use the
Audit Trail Setup
editor to specify the audit trail settings.
Information messages
Select this check box to show information messages at runtime. You can use the predefined [INFORMATION] graphic display, or create your own graphic display containing an information message display object. When a trigger value changes from zero to non-zero, the message display opens.
Specify the messages and their trigger values in the
Information Messages
editor. Specify the display to use and the tag to monitor for trigger values in the
Information Setup
editor.
Data logging
Select this check box to start data logging when the application starts. Specify a data log model from the list of configured models.
Startup macro
Select this check box to use a macro to assign initial values to tags when the project starts. Specify a macro from the list of configured macros.
Shutdown macro
Select this check box to use a macro to assign values to tags when the project stops. Specify a macro from the list of configured macros.
Initial graphic displays
Select this check box to choose up to five graphic displays that open when the application starts, from the
All optional displays
list. If there are no graphic displays, or if no display is selected from the list, an empty window is shown at startup.
Up
and
Down
Click the
Up
or
Down
button to sort the selected displays. The displays will be shown at startup by the sequence specified in the
Selected displays
box.
Parameter file
Select this option to use a parameter file to replace tag placeholders on the initial display. Click the
Browse
button (...) to open the
Component Browser
and select the parameter file to run when the initial graphic display opens.
Parameter list
Select this option to use a parameter list to replace tag placeholders on the initial display. Click the
Browse
button to open the
Tag Browser
and select the tag or tags to add to the list.
