Options on the Inactivity tab

The following table shows the options on the
Inactivity
tab of the
Project Settings
dialog box.
Options
Descriptions
Enable advanced inactivity actions
Select this check box to enable the advanced inactivity actions.
If this check box is clear, the other properties on the
Inactivity
tab are disabled.
Log out the current user after an inactivity period
Select this check box to log out the current user automatically after the terminal is inactive for a specified period of time.
If this check box is clear, the current user will not be logged out automatically.
Inactivity period in minutes
Specify the length of time (in minutes) the terminal must be inactive before the current user is automatically logged out and the default user is logged in.
  • Literal value
    - Select this option and enter the time (1-32767 minutes) for the inactivity period.
  • Controlled by tag
    - Select this option and assign a tag to specify the inactivity period in minutes. Click the
    Browse
    button (...) to open
    Tab Browser
    and select the tag.
Parameter and expression are not supported.
Navigate to a display after an additional delay
Select this check box to enable the application to navigate to a selected display when the terminal is inactive for a specified period of time since the current user is automatically logged out.
If auto logout is active and this check box is clear, when the current user is logged out, the display was open at logout remains open.
Additional inactivity period in minutes
Specify the length of time for which the terminal is inactive since the current user is automatically logged out before the application navigates to a specified display. Specify

Navigate to display
Select the display that the application navigates to after the additional inactivity period.
  • Parameter file
    - Select this option if the display's runtime parameter values will be provided by a parameter file. Click the
    Browse
    button (...) to open the
    Component Browser
    , and select the parameter file to run when the display navigation event is triggered.
    Parameter File
    option is selected by default.
  • Parameter list
    - Select this option if the display's runtime parameter values will be provided by a parameter list. Click the
    Browse
    button (...) to open the
    Tag Browser
    , and select the tag, or tags to add to the list.
Inactivity time remaining (secs)
(Optional) Specify a numeric tag to read the remaining inactivity time in seconds.
Click the browse button to open the
Tag Browser
and select the tag.
Parameter and expression are not supported.
Inhibit inactivity actions
(Optional) Specify a numeric tag to stop the inactivity actions from occurring indefinitely, and reset the inactivity timeout.
Click the browse button to open the
Tag Browser
and select the tag.
Parameter and expression are not supported.
  • If the tag value is zero, the inactivity actions are enabled.
  • If the tag value is non-zero, the inactivity actions are disabled.
