Upgrade terminal firmware using a card
Once you have created your firmware upgrade card, you can use it to upgrade the terminal.
To upgrade terminal firmware using a card
- Start the upgrade process by doing one of the following:
- Insert the card in a running terminal
- Power on the terminal with the card already inserted
- A dialog box shows, asking for confirmation of the upgrade shows. The dialog box shows the version number of the firmware presently on the terminal, and the version number of the firmware on the card. SelectUpgradeto continue.
- ClickUpgrade, and the terminal restarts.
As part of the restart, the old firmware is deleted and the new firmware is installed. Once the upgrade is completed, a dialog box shows, confirming the upgrade. The firmware version number for the terminal and the card are now the same.
When upgrading the firmware on a
PanelView Plus 7
or PanelView Plus 6
terminal, do not remove the card until you see the following message: "The firmware upgrade has been completed. Remove the Firmware Upgrade Card and then press the Exit
button." Premature removal of the card will cause the upgrade to fail.After you upgrade the firmware on a

or PanelView Plus 6
terminal, you may need to recalibrate the terminal.Provide Feedback
