Complete the remote terminal firmware upgrade

When you click
Next
in the
KEPServer
dialog box, the Firmware Upgrade Wizard shows a summary of the selections you have made during the preceding steps.
To complete the remote terminal firmware upgrade
  1. Review the information shown. Make sure it is exactly what you intended.
  2. If you need to make changes, click
    Back
to return through the steps and make a different selection.
  3. When these choices are all correct, click
    Finish
to complete the process. A message shows, asking for confirmation of the upgrade.
  4. Click
    Yes
    . If
    FactoryTalk View ME Station
is running on the terminal, it is stopped. The wizard checks to make sure there is enough space available on the terminal.
    • If there is enough space, the firmware is downloaded to the terminal's internal storage device.
    • If there is not enough space, an error message shows.
  5. A progress bar shows the process of copying the files to the terminal. When the firmware source files have been copied to the terminal, a message shows, asking you to click
    OK
when you are ready to restart the terminal.
  6. Click
    OK
    to restart the terminal.
This completes the upgrade process by closing the Firmware Upgrade Wizard and replacing the existing firmware files with the files you have just placed on the terminal. A message shows on the terminal while the upgrade is in progress.
After you upgrade the firmware on a
PanelView Plus 7
or
PanelView Plus 6
terminal, you may need to recalibrate the terminal.
