Allocate Entitlements
Once purchased, entitlements for an application or service
must
be allocated
to the specific organization or sub-organization.To Allocate an Entitlement

Purchased
entitlements appear in the FactoryTalk Hub View Entitlements page within 1-2 hours.
Once
purchased they must be allocated
to an organization. However, if you have overlapping
times on platform entitlements
you have the option to decide if you want to replace
the current entitlement now or in the future. This lets you set the effective date of the
new entitlement after the current entitlement expires so that you can upgrade your license
without worrying about timing. While the new entitlement is waiting to be activated it is
marked as pending.Only the owner and administrator of an organization or sub-organization can allocate
entitlements. The
Allocate
button is disabled for
non-administrators.- From the FactoryTalk Hub menu, selectOrganizationsorSub-organizations.
- From the list, select the organization or sub-organization which you want to allocate the entitlements to.
- From the FactoryTalk Hub menu, selectView entitlements.The new entitlement appears at the top ofAll EntitlementsunderAvailable to allocate.IMPORTANT: To allocate an add-on entitlement you must first allocate a platform entitlement.
- Verify that the correct organization or sub-organization name appears in the breadcrumb.
- Locate the entitlement that you want to assign to your organization or sub-organization and selectAllocatenext to the entitlement row.
- Ensure that the entitlement, organization or sub-organization, and allocated entitlements quantity are correct, then selectAllocate.The entitlement is allocated.
The allocated entitlement is now available in the organization
or sub-organization to which it was allocated. Additional steps may be required for your
application. See the application documentation for details.
