Independently released expansion modules

Each release of

FactoryTalk Design Workbench

includes a set of expansion modules for the

Micro850

L50E and

Micro870

L70E controllers. You can add the expansion modules to the controllers and configure the expansion modules using the controller workspace.

Some expansion modules are released and available independently from the software release, and come with a support package that, when installed, updates the

FactoryTalk Design Workbench

software.

After you add an independently released expansion module, the expansion module is available in

Project Organizer

under the

Expansion

node. Configuration and management of independently released expansion modules follow the same procedure as other expansion modules.
