Duplicate Role

You can create a copy of an existing role (Default and Custom) using the Duplicate Role feature and make necessary changes as required. When you duplicate a role, all the capability groups associated with it also become available with the duplicated role.
Follow the instructions to duplicate a role:
  1. Navigate to the
    Roles Listing
    page and, click on the role you want to duplicate.
    The
    Role Detail
    page is displayed.
  2. Click
    Duplicate Role
    available on the top right corner of the page.
    The application displays a message reading ‘Duplicate Role added successfully’ and displays the duplicated role. By default, the duplicated role’s name will be created in the following format:
    <Original role name>_Duplicate_<Date_Time>
    You can change or modify this name as per your preference. The maximum character count allowed is 64. If the role name is too long, you might only be able to view part of the name. You need to move the cursor in the Role Name field in order to view the entire role name.
  3. You can make the required changes in the
    Role Detail
    page as per your preference, such as:
    • Modify the group name and description.
    • Add, edit, or remove capability groups.
  4. After applying changes, click
    Save
    .
