Verify/Deploy Area Model dialog box

The
Verify/Deploy Area Model
dialog box displays the name and file date of the current area model, a list of updated area models, the status of any comparison or load operation, and the ability to compare or deploy updates to a runtime area models.
The
Verify/Deploy Area Model
dialog box contains the following:
Field
Definition
Server Name
The name of the server.
Running Area Model
The runtime area model filename.
Running Area Model Date
The file date of the area model file at the time of
FactoryTalk Batch
Server startup or last file load.
Updated Area Model
A list of updated area model files by filename.
Updated Area Model Date
The date of the selected area model in the
Updated Area Model
list.
Verify Area Models
Compares the running area model with the selected updated area model. In the
Status
area, displays the comparison results, a runtime conditions check, and all changes that are permitted or not permitted to load. Also displays the log file name and location for viewing further comparison and verification details.
Deploy Updated Area Model
If changes are permitted, deploys the selected updated area model. In the
Status
area, displays the name of the original and the successfully deployed area model, comparison results, a runtime conditions check, and a load report. Also displays the log file name and location for viewing further deployment details.
Note:
If the operator attempting to deploy an updated area model does not have the required
FactoryTalk
permissions, the button is disabled.
View Log
Opens the compare.update log (.log) text file.
Note:
A log file can be viewed only if Microsoft Excel or Notepad is installed on the system.
The log file name is based on the operation, updated area model file name, date, and time stamp. To avoid duplicates, the time stamp is written in hours, minutes, seconds, and micro seconds (HHMMSSmmmm).
