Add users and user groups
Set security on folders and files to limit log file and event journal (.evt or .evtj) access.
To add users and user groups
:- InWindows Explorer, locate the folder or file.
- Right-click the folder or file, and then selectProperties.
- Select theSecuritytab, selectEdit, and then selectAdd.
- From theSelect Users,Computers, Service Accounts, or Groupsdialog box, selectAdvancedand then clickFind Now.
- Select a user or group from theSearch resultslist, and then selectOK.
- Repeat for each user or group that requires access to the folder or file.TIP:Be sure to add theFactoryTalk BatchServer user account and then configure the account withFull Controlpermissions.
- SelectOKto return to thePropertiesdialog box.
- From theGroup or user namelist, select a user or group, and then select the permissions in thePermissionsarea. Repeat for each user or group.
- SelectOK.
