Configure the ESignature network directory policy setting

The ESignature Network Directory policy setting must be set to True to enable signature signoff permission validations across a network.
IMPORTANT:
Changing the
FactoryTalk Directory
 Server after creating Signature Templates causes Signoffs to fail unless the
FactoryTalk
 System folder is backed up and restored on the new
FactoryTalk Directory
 Server.
To configure the ESignature network directory policy setting
:
  1. Open the Local Directory in
    FactoryTalk
     Administration Console.
  2. In the
    Explorer
     tree, navigate to
    System > Policies > Product Policies > Batch > Equipment Editor > Configuration > Options
    .
  3. Right-click
    Options
    , and select
    Properties
    . The
    Options Properties
     dialog box displays the available policy settings.
  4. Select the
    ESignature Network Directory
     policy setting and select
    True
    to use network security.
  5. Select
    OK
    .
  6. Restart the server and client applications.
