Add activations

All activations for FactoryTalk AssetCentre are installed on the FactoryTalk AssetCentre server. If you add activations, you will have to refresh activation. If you add capacity activations and you are using FactoryTalk Activation version CPR 9 SR 2 or earlier, you must restart the FactoryTalk Activation server service before refreshing activation.
(CPR 9 SR 2 or earlier only) To restart the FactoryTalk Activation server service if you have added capacity activations
  1. Open the FactoryTalk Activation Tool and select the
    Settings
     tab.
  2. Use the
    Stop
     and
    Start
     buttons under
    Service Configuration
    .
To refresh activation
  1. On any computer in the FactoryTalk AssetCentre system (any client computer or the server computer if it has the FactoryTalk AssetCentre client software installed), select
    Help > About
    .
  2. Select
    FactoryTalk AssetCentre Server Features
     in the
    Components
     list, and click
    Refresh
    .
