Tasks menu
Some commands shown below are only available under certain circumstances. If a command listed does not appear on your menu and no other reason is given, it means you do not have security rights to perform that function. You need to configure security for FactoryTalk AssetCentre.
Command | Description |

Backup to config data | Opens the Backup to Config Data wizard to specify the version of a Backup Data binder to add as the most recent version of the Configuration Data binder. |
Add New Address Book Contact | Opens the New Contact dialog box to add a new contact to the Address Book. |
Add New Address Book Group | Opens the New Group dialog box to create a group of contacts in the Address Book. |
Add New Schedule | Opens the New Schedule Wizard. |
Show All Schedules | Opens the Schedules tab with all schedules listed. |
Show Schedules Containing selected asset | Opens the Schedules tab with the list filtered to show only those schedules that include the asset currently selected in the Asset View. |
Add New Search | Starts the New Search Wizard. |
Update All Logix5000 Asset Controller IO Properties | Starts updating Controller I/O properties of all Allen-Bradley® Logix 5000™ Controller assets in the asset tree in accordance with the configuration data file. |
Check Out | Checks out files and binders for the asset currently selected in the Asset View. |
Check In | Checks in files and binders for the asset currently selected in the Asset View. |
Undo Check Out | Reverses the check-out for the asset currently selected in the Asset View. |
Get | Retrieves a read-only copy of the files and binders for the asset currently selected in the Asset View. |
Open Working Folder | Opens the working folder for the asset currently selected in the Asset View. This option is only available if the selected asset has a working folder assigned. |
Open | Opens the file selected in the Asset View. You will be asked whether you want to Get or Check Out the file (if it is not checked out). The default program associated with the file type in Windows will be used to open the file unless another program has been associated in FactoryTalk AssetCentre. |
Create Shortcut | Creates a shortcut on the desktop to the file selected in the Asset View. Double-click the desktop icon to open the file. Wait until you see the Check Out dialog box, which may take a little time to show. |
