File menu
Some commands shown below are only available under certain circumstances. If a command listed does not appear on your menu and no other reason is given, it means you do not have security rights to perform that function. You need to configure security for FactoryTalk AssetCentre.
Command | Description |

New | Adds a new asset, search, schedule, or Address Book contact depending on which part of the software has focus when you select File > New . This command is unavailable if nothing can be added (for example, if the Asset View has focus, but is not in Design mode.). |
Save | Available only when information (such as a schedule or search) has been edited, but not yet saved. |
Close | Closes the current tab in the Workspace Pane. |
Print | Available only when viewing a log. Prints the selected records or all records listed. |
Log Off | Logs off the current user from FactoryTalk AssetCentre. Everything in the FactoryTalk AssetCentre window is closed. |
Log On | Opens a dialog box to log on to FactoryTalk. The FactoryTalk user is logged on to FactoryTalk AssetCentre and the asset tree reappears in the Asset View. |
Exit | Closes the FactoryTalk AssetCentre desktop client on this computer. The FactoryTalk AssetCentre server and services continue to run. |
