Perform a Quick Search on a log

FactoryTalk AssetCentre allows you to perform a Quick Search on the shown log. This allows you to search, for example, for all warnings that occurred after a particular date.
Quick Search is less customizable than FactoryTalk AssetCentre Searches where you can customize the results to show specific fields, change sort order, and specify which columns to show. Quick Search only searches log records and does not search archived files.
To perform a Quick Search
  1. Select
    View > Logs
    , or click the
    Logs
     button.
  2. You must open the log on which you want to perform a Quick Search. From the
    View
     menu, select the desired log, or click the button to open the
    Event Log
    ,
    Audit Log
    , or
    Diagnostics & Health Log
    .
  3. Click the
    Quick Search
     button.
  4. Complete the
    Quick Search (Log Name)
    dialog box.
  5. Click
    Search
    . The Quick Search results are shown on the
    Quick Search Results
     tab.
    TIP:
    The
    Quick Search (Log Name)
    dialog box remains open in the background with the currently entered criteria until you click the
    Quick Search
     button to perform another Quick Search. To close the
    Quick Search (Log Name)
     dialog box, click the
    Quick Search
     button to show the dialog box in front of the FactoryTalk AssetCentre window and then click
    Cancel
    .
