Items in Agent Group dialog box

Items in the dialog box include:
  • Select an Agent Group
    Select an agent group for the asset. This field will be unavailable when the
    Inherit from Parent
     check box is selected.
    TIP:
    Agent Groups whose name begins with <Remote> host agents that are member of a different FactoryTalk Directory. Make sure that the asset is a member of the selected remote FactoryTalk Directory.
  • Inherit from Parent (Default)
    Select this check box when you want an asset to inherit the identified agent group from its parent.
    In the asset tree, if move an asset that has
    Inherit from Parent
     check box selected, its Agent Group property will be updated as the target parent’s agent group.
    If a parent container has its agent group changed, all the child assets that have Inherit from parent check box selected will have their Agent Group properties updated as the parent's new agent group.
