Authentication dialog box

How do I open the Authentication dialog box?
You can open the
Authentication
dialog box while adding an Allen-Bradley E300 Overload Relay asset to the asset tree or while editing the asset's properties.
While adding an asset to the asset tree:
  1. If you are not in Design mode, click design_mode_button.
  2. Drag an asset from the Asset Catalog to add it to the Asset View.
  3. Click anywhere within the
    Authentication
    field, and then click browse_button_small.
While editing an asset's properties:
  1. If you are not in Design mode, click design_mode_button.
  2. Double-click an asset in the asset tree.
  3. Click anywhere within the
    Authentication
    field, and then click browse_button_small.
Use the
Authentication
dialog box to supply user credentials for the physical device that you want to connect to and add as an asset.
The following table lists the properties in the dialog box.
Properties
Descriptions
User name
Enter the user name to log on to the Allen-Bradley E300 Overload Relay.
Password
Enter the password of the user name.
Test Connection
Click this button to validate whether the credentials are all correct.
  • If all information is valid, "Successful" shows next to the
    Test Connection
    button.
  • If any information is invalid, the pertinent error message shows next to the
    Test Connection
    button.
Tip
: In certain cases, after clicking
Test Connection
, the
Authentication
dialog box stops responding before showing the connection failed message. You need to wait for several seconds for the system to be responsive.
OK
Click to confirm all the information entered in this dialog box. It is only available when all the information is valid after clicking the
Test Connection
button.
Cancel
Click to close this dialog box. No changes made will be saved.

Click to open Help.
