Languages

All editable AADvance-Trusted SIS Workstation project fields support English text, however with a Windows setting change, the following fields can support simplified Chinese instead of English characters: description, diary, Boolean variable Message True property, Boolean variable Message False property, and comments.
The Windows
Language for non-Unicode programs
setting determines whether a Trusted project supports Simplified Chinese characters:

When a project opens, the AADvance-Trusted SIS Workstation software uses the current
Windows Language for non-Unicode programs
configuration. Ensure it is correctly configured before you perform the following actions:
  • Create a project
  • Open a project
  • Import a Trusted Toolset project
  • Archive or restore a project
  • Import or export variables
  • Import or export a POU exchange file
IMPORTANT:
  • If you open a project with the wrong
    Windows Language for non-Unicode programs
configuration or attempt to change the configuration for a project, it might result in garbled and irrecoverable text changes
  • AADvance-Trusted SIS Workstation software does not support simplified Chinese characters in fields other than description, diary, Boolean variable Message True property, Boolean variable Message False property, and comment, although some fields might accept them.
  • AADvance-Trusted SIS Workstation software does not provide warnings when the
    Windows Language for non-Unicode programs
setting mismatches occur for the following scenarios:
    • Opening the Trusted Global Library
    • Importing a project from the Trusted Toolset
    • Importing a POU in Trusted (*.txf). While the editors display Chinese characters correctly despite the encoding differences, the Dictionary may present garbled text, potentially leading to confusion and errors in interpretation.
TIP: You can enhance the readability of Chinese characters for all applications by increasing the
