Delete a user-defined library
Delete a user-defined library to remove a library that you no longer need. When you
delete a user-defined library from a project, the library is removed from only the project. If
the user-defined library was shared, the library remains in the shared library location and
any project into which the library was imported. To delete a shared user-defined library from
the shared library location, delete the library from
Import user-defined
library
. The shared library remains in any project into which the library was
imported. - In the explorer bar, select
Library. - Delete a user-defined library from either the:
- Project. ExpandUser-defined libraries, right-click the user-defined library to delete, and then selectDelete.TIP: A message appears stating that deleting the library from the project deletes all subordinate objects.
- Shared library location. Right-click theUser-defined libraries, selectImport user-defined library, select the row of the shared library to delete, and then select
Delete.TIP: You can delete a version of a user-defined library from the shared library location only if you originally shared the library. If you have both a role with the Share User-Defined Library permission (Engineer or a custom role) and the Admin role assigned, you can delete any version of a library from the shared library location even if you did not originally share the library. - z
A message appears stating deleting the shared library from the shared library location cannot be undone. The shared library remains in the projects into which the shared library was imported. - SelectDeleteto delete the library orCancelto not delete the library.
The user-defined library is removed.
