Add an I/O mapping definition

Add a new I/O mapping definition to assign mapping definitions to inputs and outputs for supported devices. View input and output states for each input or output when status monitoring is enabled.
  1. In
    I/O Mapping
    view, select
    Edit I/O Mapping Definitions
    .
  2. In the bottom row of
    I/O Mapping Definitions
    , select
    Add Definition
    .
    TIP: To add a definition, you can also select
    +
    in upper left corner of
    I/O Mapping
    view.
  3. In
    Create New I/O Mapping Definition
    , complete:
    • Name
      . Enter a new name for the definition.
      TIP: The definition name for
      I/O Type
      must be unique.
    • I/O Type
      . Select
      Input
      or
      Output
      .
      TIP: You cannot change the I/O type for a definition if you later edit the definition of an I/O mapping.
    • Device Status when Off
      . Select the desired status.
    • Device Status when On
      . Select the desired status.
  4. Select
    Create
    to create the new definition or
    Cancel
    to not create the definition.
The I/O mapping definition is added to
I/O Mapping Definitions
.
