Determine your region
You must select a region when allocating your first entitlement in
FactoryTalk Design Studio
(FTDS). Region selection impacts performance and data
residency and is a required step during initial entitlement allocation. FactoryTalk Design Studio
currently supports two regions: North
America (NA)
and Europe (EU)
.For optimal performance, select the region closest to location of the majority of
your users. The selection is permanent. You cannot change the region for the
organization later. If your organization has users across multiple regions, all
users will connect to the region selected at the time of allocation. Users traveling
outside their selected region will continue to connect to their selected region.
This may result in latency but does not affect functionality.
