Counter – Alarms View

Use Counter – Alarms to configure the alarms for the counter.
Counter – Alarms View Example
The Counter – Alarms view includes these parameters:
Parameter
Description
Pulse Width Alarm Limit
Defines the maximum pulse width that is allowed before the pulse width alarm is triggered. If the instantaneous or average pulse width exceeds the maximum pulse width, the pulse width alarm is triggered.
Accel Alarm Limit
Defines the maximum acceleration rate that is allowed before the acceleration alarm is triggered.
If the instantaneous or average acceleration rate exceeds the maximum acceleration rate, the acceleration alarm is triggered.
A value of 0 disables the Alarm.
Decel Alarm Limit
Defines the maximum deceleration rate that is allowed before the deceleration alarm is triggered.
If the instantaneous or average acceleration rate is less than the maximum deceleration rate, the deceleration alarm is triggered.
A value of 0 disables the Alarm.
Frequency Alarm Limit
Defines the frequency limit that is allowed before the frequency alarm is triggered.
If the instantaneous or average frequency exceeds this limit, the frequency alarm is triggered.
Zero Frequency Alarm Limit
Displays the value that the frequency or average frequency must be less than to trigger the zero frequency alarm.
Latch Zero Frequency Alarm
Determines whether the zero frequency alarm latches so that it does not clear until explicitly unlatched.
Enable Missing Pulse Alarm
Determines whether the missing pulse alarm is enabled.
Missing Pulse Alarm Limit
Displays the length of time that must elapse between detecting the leading edge of consecutive pulses before the missing pulse alarm is triggered.
Latch Missing Pulse Alarm
Determines whether the missing pulse alarm latches so that it does not clear until explicitly unlatched.
Diagnostics
Opens the Diagnostics dialog, which contains diagnostic information.
