Use the

User-Defined Function Blocks

node in Project Organizer to create logic programs for the

Micro800

controller in the following languages:

Function block diagram (FBD)

Ladder diagram (LD)

Structured text (ST)

User-defined function blocks (UDFBs) define business logic for complex mathematical computations. Once created, it can be reused like other function blocks in

FactoryTalk Design Workbench

Use the

User-Defined Function Blocks

node to:

Add or delete UDFBs.

Import UDFBs.

Paste a copied UDFB under the node to duplicate the UDFB.

Use the

<UDFB-name>

node under

User-Defined Function Blocks

to:

Verify a UDFB without building the whole solution.

Import local variables to the UDFB.

Export the UDFB or its local variables to your computer.

Synchronize the UDFB updates to all its references.

Rename the UDFB.

Add a description for the UDFB using the Properties pane.

Copy and paste UDFBs.

Delete UDFBs.

Open the UDFB Parameters window to:

Create input or output parameters.

Delete parameters.

Move a parameter up or down in the UDFB.

Edit the variable properties.
