Failed to modify communications configuration

There was a problem applying your Communications Configuration changes. The error message you receive indicates one of the following conditions:
Path contains invalid character
The path format is invalid because it contains a character that is not allowed, or has extra characters following the last component.

Components of a path must be separated by commas
The path consists of a series of components that must be separated by a comma. You entered one or more components that were not separated this way.

Path format is invalid
One or more components of the path were entered incorrectly.

Use of "." restricted to IP address
The path contains an IP address with an invalid format, or an IP address as the first component in the path.

Unsupported base specified
The "#" sign can be used in a path component to change the base of a number from the default base 10. The only bases supported using this technique are 8 and 16. For example, 8#33 and 16#1E are valid entries, while 2#1 is not.

Path required for selected protocol
A path is not required for all protocols, but the selected protocol does require one.
Enter a path for this protocol.
Path component value too large
Some component of the path has a value that exceeds the maximum allowed. Node/port values can be no larger than 255 (decimal). IP address segments can be no larger than 255 (decimal).
