Reset the default admin password

If the default administrator (
piadmin
) password is lost or forgotten and you cannot make administrator-level changes to FactoryTalk Historian ME, you must reset the
piadmin
 user password and security settings.
To reset the default admin password
  1. Click the
    Advanced
     tab, and then click
    Restore Defaults
    .
    The
    Restore Defaults
     page appears.
  2. Click
    Reset Security
    .
    A message appears asking you to confirm the action.
  3. Click
    OK
    .
You can now access default administrator functions. The default password for the
piadmin
 user is empty. It is important to change the default
piadmin
 password after you log on.
