Download the backup file to a client computer

To download the backup file to a client computer
  1. Click the
    Configure Historian
     tab, and then click
    Backup And Restore
    .
    The
    Backup and Restore
     page appears.
    Under
    Download to Client
    , the details of the last download are displayed:
    • The time the backup configuration file was last downloaded to the client computer.
    • The name of the last downloaded backup configuration file.
      The name is based on the date and time that the file was created.
  2. Click
    Download
    .
    The button is inactive if no backup of the module has occurred.
    IMPORTANT:
    Editing the xml files is not recommended.
After downloading the file from the module, you can use an XML parser to modify the configuration. However, you should not change the following files:
  • datacollection/dconf.xml
  • datastorage/dsconf.xml
  • datatransfer/dtconf.xml
