Reset a Redundancy Module

There are two ways to reset a redundancy module:
  • Cycle power to the chassis.
    IMPORTANT:
    Do not cycle power to the chassis if it causes you to lose control of your process.
  • Remove the module from the chassis and reinsert the module.
  • Use the Reset button in the
    FactoryTalk® Linx
     RMCT. See Reset Factory Defaults.
IMPORTANT:
The redundancy module does not have secure reset functionality to make data nonrecoverable. To address critical security concerns about data recovery, Rockwell Automation recommends physically destroying a device when decommissioned.
