Set Up Identical Chassis

To complete the process of converting to a redundancy system, set up an identical controller chassis.
  1. After you have configured your primary chassis with the modules that are listed in Redundant Chassis Requirements, add an identical chassis that contains the same modules with the same module-placement.
  2. Once you have changed your system configuration and program and have added the identical chassis, upgrade your system firmware.

  3. After you upgrade the firmware, use the Logix Designer application to access the controller properties and update the controller major revision to match your redundancy firmware major revision.
  4. Once you update the controller firmware revision and save the changes, download the updated program to the controller.
