Retrieval page (TrendPro)

How do I open the Retrieval page (Properties dialog box)?
  1. On the
    Properties
    dialog box, click the
    General
     tab.
  2. Click
    Retrieval
     in the left pane.

can retrieve and plot data using the properties on this page
. The following properties are applied immediately to the current trend.
The following options are available:

Description
Retrieval mode
Select one of the following options:
  • Automatic.
     Applies an optimal retrieval strategy based on a data source’s plotting method. If the data source does not have a plotting method, the raw data points will be filtered based on the size of the plot surface and the currently selected time period. Automatic retrieval mode is designed to minimize the amount of data requested from the server.
    Note:
     The sampling interval time does not apply to alarm events or diagnostics. TrendPro retrieves these data from the Alarm and Event Historian or FactoryTalk AssetCentre database.
  • Custom.
     Defines custom retrieval settings such as deadbands, quality, and sampling options. The first time you select
    Custom
    , the
    Change Settings
     dialog box opens.
  • Raw.
     Returns all data points.
  • Effective settings.
     Displays any settings applied to the retrieval mode that you selected.
Display
Click the
Show retrieval information on the trend
 checkbox.
When selected, the current retrieval setting displays as a link in the upper right corner of the plot surface.
