Audit messages parameter
The following table shows parameters of audit messages that are logged by
FactoryTalk Diagnostics
.Parameter | Setting |

TimeStmp | The date and time (UTC) the tag values were logged. |
MessageText | The text of the message. |
Audience | A number representing the audience for the message (4 for Engineer). |
Severity | A number representing the severity of the message (8 for Audit) |
Area | The area in which the activity occurred. |
Location | The name of the computer that initiated the command or action that caused the activity. |
UserFullName | The name of the user ( including domain name if there is one) that initiated the command or action that caused the activity. |
Provider | The name of the software product the activity belongs to. |
RecordID | A globally unique record ID (GUID) to identify the record. This is logged as a string value. It is not shown in the Diagnostics Viewer. |
ParentID | If the message is part of a message chain, the ParentID is the RecordID of the parent message. It is not shown in the Diagnostics Viewer. |
ChainTime | The earliest timestamp of a message in a message chain. It is not shown in the Diagnostics Viewer. |
Syntax examples for the Area parameter:
- Full area:RNA://$Global/ApplicationName/Area1/Area2
- Root area:RNA://$Global/ApplicationName
