Data Log Models editor - Paths tab
The following table shows options in the tab if you select
File Set
as the storage format in the Setup
tab.Option | Description |
---|---|
Primary Path | In this area, specify the primary path where you want to store the data log files. |
Relative to Project Location | Stores the log files in the HMI project folder. FactoryTalk View creates a folder called DLGLOG and a subfolder with the same name as the data log model and stores the files there. |
Absolute Path | Allows you to specify a particular path. If the path you type does not exist, FactoryTalk View creates it. The first time data logging runs, FactoryTalk View creates a subfolder with the same name as the model name and stores the files there. |
Secondary Path | In this area, specify the secondary path. |
Enable Switchover to Secondary Path | Check this option to turn on logging to a secondary path if the primary path cannot be accessed. Choose whether to log data relative to the application, or to an absolute path, as described for Logging Path . |
Advanced | Click this to open the Advanced Configuration dialog box and specify SwitchOver and SwitchBack times. |

ODBC database

Enable ODBC Backup Path | Select this check box to set up logging to an ODBC backup path when the ODBC data source or ODBC database in the primary path is no longer available. |

TIP:
If your project contains datalog models that are logging to an absolute path and you created the path manually, you will need to add the user
LOCAL SERVICE
to the security of that directory on both the Primary and Secondary HMI servers (or any other computer that directory resides on) and give the user full control.Provide Feedback
