Select a destination to export strings to

Use the
Select Destination
dialog box of the
String Import Export Wizard
to export text strings to the default destination (path and folder), or to navigate to another path and folder.
When text strings are exported to Unicode files for a network distributed application, a separate file is created for each HMI server from which strings are being exported.
When text strings are exported to an
Excel
spreadsheet, one file is created for all HMI servers in the application from which strings are being exported. This is true for both local station applications, which have only one HMI server, and network distributed applications, which can have multiple HMI servers.
To select a destination folder to export text strings to:
  1. In the
    Select Destination
dialog box, review the default destination (path and folder) displayed.
  2. To choose another destination, click
    Browse (...)
to select another path and folder.
  3. Click
    Finish
to export the strings to the destination displayed.
