Select an export operation

In the Export Operation window you can:
  • Export strings for the language selected in the Language Configuration dialog box, to a Unicode text file.
  • Export strings for all supported languages to an Excel spreadsheet.
The following options are available:
  • Export strings for <RFC1766 Name> to one or more Unicode text files
Click this button to export the application's strings for the language selected in the Language Configuration dialog box, to a Unicode text file. If the application is a network distributed application, the strings are saved to a separate Unicode file for each HMI server you select in the next step.
  • Export strings for all languages to an Excel spreadsheet
Click this button to export all of the strings for all of the languages supported by the application to an Excel spreadsheet. If the application is a network distributed application, and you select more than one HMI server to export strings from, all strings for all languages and HMI servers will be stored in the same Excel spreadsheet.
    • Optimize duplicate strings
Select this check box to have strings that occur more than once in the application written to the spreadsheet only once. After the first occurrence, a placeholder is inserted into the spreadsheet for other occurrences.
    • Open exported file
Select this check box to open the exported file in Excel as soon as the export operation is completed.
