Use the command line

Use the command line in
FactoryTalk View SE
 or the
FactoryTalk Administration Console
 for system administration.
Commands are run relative to the HMI server from which the command line was opened. For example, the command
DataLogOn Mixer
 attempts to start the Mixer model in the HMI server from which the command line was opened. To interact with components in another HMI server, the area in which the server resides must be specified as part of the command. For example, the command
DataLogOn /Line1::Mixer
 attempts to start the Mixer model in the HMI server contained in the Line1 area.
To use the command line:
  1. In
    FactoryTalk View SE
    , in the Explorer window, double-click the
    System
     folder below the HMI server, and then double-click
    Command Line
    .
  2. Type a command or click
    Browse (...)
     to open the
    Command Wizard.
  3. Create a command string.
  4. Press
    Enter
     to run the command.
