Replicate runtime changes manually
At runtime, you can change the HMI project components in an application while it is running. For example, you can add, modify or delete graphic displays and other components, and have those changes to take effect at connected clients.
TIP:
Make sure to verify the current HMI server name and status before the replication.
To replicate changes manually:
- In theFactoryTalk View StudioExplorer window, right-click the HMI server and selectServer Status.
- In theServer Statusdialog box, verify that the current HMI server status isActiveand the other isStandby.TIP:To show the status of the HMI servers, FactoryTalk Alarms and Events servers, and data servers at runtime, add one of the following to the application:
- AServer Statusdisplay under theLibraryfolder.
- A redundancy function, such asPrimaryServerStatusandSecondaryServerStatus.
- In the HMI Server Properties dialog box, in theRedundancytab, clickReplicate Active to Standby.
