Import an HMI project

When you create a local station application you can either create a new HMI server and project, or import an existing HMI project.
TIP:
For more information about importing a FactoryTalk View ME project, see Knowledgebase Document ID: QA601 - FactoryTalk View ME to FactoryTalk View SE Conversion.
When you import an RSView32 project to create an HMI server in a
FactoryTalk View SE
application, component names that contain certain characters are invalid and will not be converted. The characters that cause this to happen are:
% : ; < > \ "" # { } | ^ ~ [ ] ' / . * ? & =
Extended ASCII characters or Unicode characters are not supported in the names for applications, areas, HMI servers, data servers, HMI tags,
FactoryTalk Linx
shortcuts, and
FactoryTalk View Studio
application files (.SED).
