Description
Expression
Create an expression that will return a value at runtime to represent the position of the arrow within the rectangle.
An expression is a mathematical or logical equation that returns a value. It can contain tag names, constants, mathematical, relational, logical and/or bitwise operators and functions. A tag name can also stand alone as an expression.
If you specify a tag as the expression, the minimum and maximum expression values will default to the tag's minimum and maximum values.
Check Syntax
Click this button to check the syntax of the expression you have entered.

Options
Description
Specify
Select this check box to specify minimum and maximum values for the expression.
If you use a tag for the expression you can clear this check box. The minimum and maximum values for the range will default to the tag’s minimum and maximum values.
Min

Max
Type minimum and maximum values for the expression. The position of the arrow within the rectangle is proportional to the range represented by these values.

Direction
.
Options
Description
Vertical
Select this option if the arrow is to move up and down within a vertical rectangle.
The arrow will be horizontal and point to the right. You can use the Flip Horizontal command on the Arrange menu if you want to change the direction the arrow points.
Horizontal
Select this option if the arrow is to move right and left within a horizontal rectangle.
The arrow will be vertical and point up. You can use the Flip Vertical command on the Arrange menu if you want to change the direction the arrow points.
