Create a string display object

Use the string display object to show the current value of a string tag.
To create a string display object:
  1. In
    FactoryTalk View Studio
    , in the
    Graphics
     editor, select
    Objects > Numeric and String
     >
    String Display
    .
  2. Drag the mouse to draw a box the approximate size the string display object is to be.
  3. In the
    String Display Properties
     dialog box create an expression or select a tag that will return the string you intend to display.
  4. If you are using an expression, click
    Check Syntax
     to see if the syntax is correct.
  5. In the
    Common
     tab set up how the object will appear at runtime.
