Options in the Object Keys dialog box
The following table shows the options in the
Object Keys
dialog box.Option | Description |
---|---|
Select key | This box lists the object keys that have been defined previously. |
Label | Type a label to be displayed in the Object Keys menu. If you leave this blank, only the key is displayed. |
Press action | A press action is carried out when the key, or key sequence, is pressed. Type the macro or command that will perform the action you require. To specify more than one command, separate the commands with a semicolon. |
Repeat action | A repeat action is carried out multiple times when the key, or key sequence, is pressed and held. The action is repeated at the rate specified in the Windows Control Panel. |
Release action | A release action is carried out when the key, or key sequence, is pressed and released. Type the macro or command that will perform the action you require. |
Tab index | The index number determines the order in which the Tab key moves input focus from object to object in the display at runtime. The Graphics editor provides an index number for each interactive object that can receive input (i.e. input boxes and objects to which you assign objects). When the display is first run the object with index number 1 always has input focus. To change the index number of an object, type a new number. When you change the index for one object, the others change so that no two objects have the same one and there are no gaps in the numbering. |
Highlight when object has focus | When you click this check box, the object will be displayed with a highlight around it when it has input focus at runtime. To change the object key highlight color, choose Display Settings on the Edit menu. |
Current [Tag] | You can specify one tag or character string per object as the Current [Tag]. When you do this you can create a command that is object-specific. At runtime when the object is selected, the contents of this box will replace the [tag] variable in the FactoryTalk View command. As different objects are selected, the current [Tag] changes. |
